Participation
is by invitation only, on a first come, first served basis.
Approximately
450-500 participants from around the world will attend the Summit
representing approximately 30-40 countries, including:
Senior executives from provincial, regional, national, international
destination marketing organizations (i.e. travel associations,
tour operators, city tourism promotion agencies, tourism
boards, tourism administrative authorities, destination
management agencies, etc);
Senior
executives in leading institutions involved in the management
of ecotourism sites, heritage properties, tourist attractions;
National
and international transportation agencies (i.e. airlines,
railways, tours, cruises);
Public
or private tourism associations involved in the promotion
of tourism;
Senior
executives from private and public cultural institutions;
National
and international hotel chains;
Senior
executives from the food and beverage industry involved
in the promotion of tourism;
Senior
executives from private and public media institutions (i.e.
radio, TV, newsprint, etc) who are involved in the promotion
of tourism.
It
is expected that approximately 65% of delegates will be Chinese
tourism authority representatives who are eager to welcome
their foreign counterparts.

Participation
in the 2004 WTMS I is by invitation only. Participants representing
over 50 countries from around the globe will be attending
the 2004 WTMS. They include:
Senior
executives from provincial, regional, national, international
tourism agencies (i.e., travel association, tour operators,
city tourism promotion agencies, tourism boards, tourism
administrative authorities).
Senior
executives in leading institutions involved in the management
of ecotourism sites, heritage properties, tourist attractions.
National

railways, bus tour operators, cruise operators)

and international hotel chains.

WTMS
delegates
are invited to take special tours of Nanjing and Yangzhou
