iWTMS Recognition and Awards
The WORLD TRADE UNIVERSITY Global Secretariat will present willing participants a Certificate of Authenticity for their active engagement, as well as the following recognition and awards during the Closing Gala Dinner of the Summit (Tuesday, November 23, 2004).

B. Tourism Marketing Entrepreneurial Award Categories for Chinese Entrepreneurs

(Note: These awards recognize Chinese businesses for the contribution made to the specific tourism sectors of the respective award.)

1. Information Technology in Tourism Marketing Award
  This award recognizes the outstanding accomplishments made by a business or organization in using informational technology to facilitate its tourism marketing objectives thus benefiting the tourism industry as a whole. (Download pdf)
2. Heritage Tourism Marketing Award
  This award recognizes tourism operations that foster a greater understanding of history, heritage and/or ethnic culture. (Download pdf)
3. Ecotourism Award
  This award recognizes a business, organization, community or tourism region who has developed a tourism product/service that best demonstrates a non-consumptive connection to nature. The product/service should have a primary focus on fostering environmental understanding, appreciation and conservation. (Download pdf)
4. Tourism Partnership Award
  This award recognizes the outstanding contributions by two or more businesses or organizations, which combine their resources in creative, innovative ways to promote tourism. (Download pdf)
5. Customer Services Excellence Award
  This award recognizes a business or organization that demonstrates a commitment to and delivery of high quality customer service through their in-house policies, staff training and recognition programs. (Download pdf)
6. Transportation & Tourism Promotion Award
  This award recognizes a significant contribution to tourism through the provision of transport services. (Download pdf)
7. Tourism Media Award
  This award recognizes a media company whose exceptional coverage of a tourist destination, tourism-related event or products/services helped entice more people to visit the destination, attend the event or purchase the products/services. (Download pdf)
8. Innovative Tourism Marketing Campaign Award
  This award recognizes a business and its marketing campaign using any forms of print and electronic communication, publications and promotional material that demonstrate an ongoing commitment to informing visitors about the travel product, services and/or destination.(Download pdf)
9. Tourism Industry Leader Award
  This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated special commitment, energy, service and vision to the enhancement of the tourism industry. (Download pdf)
10. Culinary Tourism Award
  This award recognizes the significant contribution made by the business or organization in using food and beverage to attract tourists to the local region. (Download pdf)
11. Hospitality Excellence Award
  This award recognizes accommodation providers who provide outstanding facilities and services that significantly enhance the tourism experience. (Download pdf)
12. Best Visitor Attraction Award
  This award recognizes the significant contribution to the tourism experience. (Download pdf)
Recognition and Award Ceremonies
 

The Recognition and Awards Presentation will be made at the Official Awards Ceremony during the Gala Dinner and Cultural Evening on Tuesday, November 23, 2004.
